چکیده
Aim: To evaluate and compare the effect of saliva decontamination procedure on shear bond strength a Universal eighth generation adhesive system to dentin after polymerization. Materials & Method: Forty extracted non-carious premolars were mounted acrylic block their occlusal surfaces grounded flat exposed middle depth dentin. The teeth then randomly divided into five Groups: Group A(control), B(Bonding, Saliva, Air-dried), C(Bonding, Air-dried, Rinse), D(Bonding, Re-bonding) E (Bonding, Rinse, Re-bonding). A teflon tube 2x3 mm dimension was used pack composite treated surface light cured for 40s. Shear Bond measured using instron testing machine at crosshead speed 1mm/min. Data statistically analysed ONE WAY-ANOVA TUKEYS test. Result: It observed that, highest mean found in E(Bonding, with value 23.87 each. least seen 13.25. When an intergroup comparision made, significant difference between various groups except A(control)-Group Re-bonding)-Group Air-dried)-Group Rinse). Conclusion: Salivary contamination significantly decreases Rinsing Air-drying contaminated not sufficient restore strength. However reapplication rinsing air-drying fully restored

Background and Aim: Considering the increasing use of antibiotics in root canal therapy and the possible effects of intracanal medicaments on the bond strength of composite restorations, the aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of triple antibiotic paste (TAP) on shear bond strength of three types of composite resins to dentin. Materials and Methods: In this in-vitro, experimental st...
متن کاملShear bond strength of different adhesive systems to normal and caries-affected dentin
BACKGROUND AND AIM: According to the effect of the adhesive and substrate type on the bond strength, examination of the adhesive is required in all aspects. The aim of this study was to evaluate the shear bond strength of different adhesive systems to normal dentin (ND) and caries affected dentin (CAD) in permanent teeth. METHODS: Thirty extracted molars with small occlusal caries were selected...
